From $0.50 to $4.00 on QQQ today…
This morning, I told you I was looking to short the market. I was looking for residual selling. I was waiting for the sellers to show up.
You don't know exactly when they're going to show up - they don't usually wait until 12:30. But today, they did.
I warned you not to trade the $QQQ $710 puts at the beginning of the day. You would have gotten chopped up. Those puts went from $3 down to the $0.50 range where we were looking to buy them.
Down there, it was still a spec play.
But then...the market started to break.
That's when you buy the puts. We grabbed them right around $1.00 as the selling accelerated.
They went to VWAP—you're up 50%.
They hit prior-day VWAP—you're up 100%.
They eventually went over $4.00.
You bought them back at the exact price you were thinking about paying at 9:30 AM, effectively selling them back to your former self.
That is how you make money trading.
If you’re in the Room, it's an extravaganza of opportunity.
Learning how to wait for the setup is the main priority. Yes, we had other winning trades today. FedEx worked. Cerebras worked.
But the QQQ short? That was the trade I came to do.
It’s days like this that remind me why owning stocks ain't my bag, baby.
I can come into the room every day, find a trade, and make 50% to 500% in a few hours.
Meanwhile, I look at my portfolio: I've owned Nokia for 3 months with nothing to show for it.
I'm losing money on LightPath. I'm losing money on Rambus.
I proved anyone could swing trade during that monster squeeze we had a couple of months ago, but I’d rather day trade.
Pick my spots, make some money, stay in cash, and sleep well.
I recorded a video summarizing exactly how we crushed the QQQ trade today.
If you're already inside the room, I'll see you tomorrow. If you're not in here yet, what are you waiting for?

I'll see you in the Room.

P.S. We waited hours for the market to give us the signal, and when it did, the $710 puts went from $1 to over $4. Patience pays.
