Blinded with rage... but we still got paid
Let me tell you what happens when you aren’t trading with us.
Your life is slipping away. You're missing the action inside the Hit the Bid room, where Sali Jello, myself, and the crew execute the trade that works. Every. Freaking. Time.
Take Navient, ticker $NAVN, this morning. I told you I was blinded with rage. I have nothing but disdain for this name. It gapped up on earnings. It broke VWAP. And I hate it. Every reason I could possibly want to short a stock.
And man, did it feel good when it worked.
Here is the anatomy of the trade: The stock breaks VWAP, the fade begins. Where does it go? The magic orange line, where it bounced.
It’s not magic. The market is rigged, and we have the rigging.
You shorted the stock at $24.04. It dropped to $22.10. On 1,000 shares, that’s close to $2,000 in one, two, maybe three minutes.
Then it bounced, broke VWAP again, and if you wanted to go long, you bought at $23.70 and it went to $24.50. I didn't take the long trade because I hope the stock goes to zero, but the payday was there right out of the gate.
Then, there was Oracle.
Nobody was looking to short $ORCL today, right? You were waiting for a reason to buy it.
Wait for them to bleed it out. Get the sellers out. Fake them out, shake them out. VWAP break.
Entry: $179. Exit: $181. A clean 2 points.
It rolled over, we got out flat.
Then, the exact same setup happened again. Same price, $178 to $179. We sold it again for another payday.
Then it happened a third time. This one was only a dollar move, but as a day trader, making $2, $2.50, and $1 rips while risking a dollar - that’s the job. The stock went nowhere all day, but we managed to make 2.5 paydays out of it. Just staying focused.
And then we have the $QQQ.
People keep telling me the market goes down. I say the market never goes down. What happens every time it tries? You get chopped up if you stay short.
If you stick with the long bias:
$699 got you $707.
Then $700 got you $712.
If you were trading options, the $703 calls fake-out shake-out entry was around $2.76 (maybe even $1.50 if you were good). They went to $9.00.
That is a 300-bagger just staying long biased in a market that never goes down. Avoid shorting the strong names, crush the shorters, and you'll do fine.
